GamesRadar: Earlier Crytek released a statement that the single player demo would be delayed by a month in order to ensure that the game would ship on time. However, some people are speculating that the real reason for the delay was due to the fact that the demo's original release date coincided with Halo 3. Can you comment on that at all?

Sten Hübler: I don't know. I think that was just a coincidence [laughs]...

GR: So are people are reading too much into it when they say that maybe the single-player demo was delayed because it was going to come out at the same time as Halo 3?

Hübler: That we delayed it - was really down to the issue of shipping the game. It's really important to focus yourself on what you think is the most important step at the moment, and that clearly is for us to finish the game, and that's why we said we can't deal with too many things at once. So I think it was really just down to that.

GR: Another big announcement was that the single-player demo would be shipping with the SandBox editor, the mod editor. Can you tell us more about what kind of features will be available to players when they get the demo?

Hübler: One big thing for us is that we will ship the editor with the demo. Basically, [we] wanted - even before the game will be available - that people from the mod community could already get familiar with the editor, get into it, and basically the editor will allow you to completely modify levels. So there's very little that we're holding back at this point. So it will be exciting to get [this] into their hands.
