 Max Payne: Payne And  Redemption

An official Max Payne movie is now in the offing with Mark Wahlberg cast as the pill-munching grim-meister, but given the quality of the footage we’ve already seen from Fergle Gibson’s Payne And Redemption, it’s going to have to be damn near perfect to stand up to the laser-eyed scrutiny of the game’s fans.

The short film currently shares a release date with Duke Nukem Forever (“When it’s done”), and is apparently plagued with the traditional monetary locusts of independent film-making at the moment, but we really, really want to see it as soon as possible. Also, note how we’ve got through this entire paragraph without a single “Payneful wait” pun. Oh, but we’ve earned our cheques today.
