Ghostbusters The Video Game

A new Ghostbusters game. Do we even care?

Over two decades after the first film was released, is there any point in a game based on Ghostbusters?

New York City as a playground

Games like the 3D GTA series and Crackdown have shown us just how much fun it is to have a vast, living and breathing city to play in. Having an environment like that adds a million-fold to immersion in a game and provides almost unlimited possibilities. Now just imagine a game set in the Ghostbusters version of New York City.

A real, lived in, grimy New York, rendered with all the graphical expertise developers now have at their fingertips, skies ever-darkening with dark and oppressive cloud as the supernatural catastrophe worsens. Ghosts flitting through the streets, running amok and destroying all of that iconic scenery. Streets to tear around in Ecto-1, that siren heralding your arrival at every destination. Fights on skyscrapers. The Statue Of Liberty.

And you thought Spider-Man 2 was good…
