Eve Online warps in, 21-day free trial on offer

CCP's space MMO Eve Online has become the first massively multiplayer online game to appear on Steam.

Valve and CCP are celebrating the occasion by offering a free 21-day trial of the game, and slashing a whopping $5 off the first month of subscription if you sign up for action.

Eve Online hit the headlines last December when it emerged that a major update for the game broke Windows XP. Whoops.

For anyone unfamiliar with the game, it offers the chance to dive into space-based combat and trade waters.
