Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach

Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach

The double-D finally goes MMO

Other than that sense of communal adventure, the most important element of classic D&D is the Dungeon Master, the human mastermind that pulls strings behind the scenes and breathes life into the adventure. In D&D Online, Turbine has built the DM into the game as an all-seeing guide who maintains momentum and drama by dropping hints about your surroundings or immediate dangers. Your adventures in Stormreach will knit together to form an interwoven storyline, just like classic D&D campaigns.

Keeping true to its tabletop roots, Turbine plans to release more modules (self-contained adventures) after the initial launch of D&D Online. It’s about time that D&D got the proper treatment that it deserved in an online world, but we’ll still miss the nifty dice.
