Pocket Books and Blizzard Entertainment bring fans of the Diablo universe a special gift in the form of the Diablo Archive, a book of 758 pages that compiles in a single tome a reprint of four of the novels released a few years ago: Legacy of Blood, The Black Road, The Kingdom of Shadow, and the rare-to-find Demonsbane.
Blizzard has unveiled only morsels of what to expect from its upcoming Action/RPG Diablo III through its new website. Already game-fans are protesting the inequities of an incomplete game they've never played in an online petition with over 30,000 signatures.
MTV Multiplayer writes: "Yesterday we reported why Blizzard decided to alter the dark art style of the "Diablo" franchise and how this angered so many fans that they started a petition against the new, colorful world of "Diablo III."
G4 "did what every self-respecting news outlet would do and reached out to our inside man at Blizzard for comment. Here's what he had to say:
Well it seems that some people will have some egg on their face after this. The alleged Diablo III demo leak is nothing more than the gameplay trailer launched at WWI.
VG247: We've just been shown a page that appears to hold download information for a leaked Diablo III demo. The file has supposedly come from a beta tester.
Blizzard has just updated their World of Warcraft test realms and the update reveals the new Diablo 3 Tyrael mini pet which was handed out on the special cards at the WWI in Paris. The pet is not on the live servers yet but we now know what the special pet looks like.

VG247: Speaking under conditions of anonymity, a highly-placed source close to Vivendi has told VG247 that, despite comments from Blizzard to the contrary over the weekend, a newly-formed Activision-Blizzard may see a console version of Diablo III as a no-brainer.

The game will run on XP as well as Vista, with DirectX 10 being recommended but not required. As if that wasn't bad enough for the green team, which is working hard to shift new DX10 cards, the Direct X 10 included will be of the 10.1 variety - supported by DAAMIT but not the boys in green. This means that the best graphical experience might just be on ATI hardware.
