Ok. First of all I have to warn everyone this editor can edit Median XL items, but it has major flaws pretty much everywhere you look, and it will corrupt your save (but thats ok as long as you know which items are corrupt and you make back-ups of the good items). I'm going to copy/paste the guide right here explaining the easiest way to make your own items: Heres the guide you should follow after you download... this guide also talks about zonfire hero editor which can be downloaded from fileradar or shadow diablo. If you need help with this look at the Shadowdiablo forums and post there. The way i do this requires that you have Zonfire hero editor (v0.96 or 1.03). Of course you also must have UdietooMXL(v1.2a). click here for dietooMXL v1.2a DO NOT USE ANY OTHER VERSION (newer or older) OF THE EDITOR OR THIS WILL NOT WORK. Once you have the UdieTooMXL, extract all of its content into your MAIN Diablo II directory (many people have more than one Diablo directory, please extract UdieTooMXL into the directory you originally installed the game on... and yes, put it there even if it's the original Diablo II LoD.) if you are using windows vista be sure to have Diablo II (the actual game) and all hero editors running under administrator. Step 1: Open up Zonfire, click "extras", click "New V1.09D" Set up stuff on your character such as class, waypoints, quests and stats make yourself lvl 120 (keep the stats under 5000 they will just go backward) NOTE: DO NOT SET SKILLS USING ZONFIRE, USE UDIE2 AFTER YOUR CHARACTER IS CONVERTED TO MEDIAN AS EXPLAINED BELOW Save your person with the name you want, then rename your person to a random name and hit save. you should now have 2 characters (thenameyouwant).d2s and (arandomname).d2s the random name should be the guy you are now editing....(use the character with the random name for testing the items you make, then later on transfer the items to the guy w/ the name you want, it's just more organized like this) Step 2: You should now be at a screen where you are about to edit a 1.09 character, in the "extra" section look for "All Items" from there look for "ring" in the "misc" section. Make the ring unique to avoid errors. Plz do not try to make any other type of item using zonfire! they all will probably not work when converted to Median. Step 3: Make a ring with what you want on it, later on this ring can be turned into armor with the same stats or any other item in the game using UdieToo. (note that not all the stats from 1.09 are the same in median there are a few that may display differently or make your character corrupt) Step 4: Make sure you keep the zonfire editor opened when you start up Median (the actual game) and try to enter the game on single player using the 1.09 character you made, the character should automatically convert from 1.09 to Median...the ring should be right where you left it with all the stats you put on it. to complete your character's conversion to median you must save and exit while in the game. Keeping the zonfire hero editor open allows you to convert from median to normal D2 in case you forgot to add something. (you can always convert from median to normal D2 if you forgot to add something as long as zonfire isn't closed, but of course it will set you back in time to the last time you saved with zonfire) Step 5: Once you know your ring is compatible with median, export it somewhere for future use and it should be a .d2i file. Step 6:Make sure your character is converted to median completely (enter the game with the 1.09 zonfire char using median, and press save and exit while in the actual median game). Make sure a copy of UdieToo MXL v1.2a is in your Main diablo/median directory, start UdieMXL, open the character with the random name that should have the ring, now make copy of that ring... Step 7: after you make a copy, right click the copy of the ring and click edit item. this is the part where you can change the item type to whatever item you like and the stats will still remain as long as the item remains unique. Heres how to change the item type... you will see a white binary code when you click edit item... this is the key to making any item you like. Example: If you wanted to make a hacked Light Plate this is what you would do: with the copy of the ring click edit item find the white binary code replace the old binary code with: 01101100100011001000110000000100 (NO TYPOS ALLOWED) after you type in that binary code you will now have a unique hacked Light Plate with the same stats as the ring you made. to get rid of level reuirements set the Unique ID to 011000000000 (this will give the item the title The Boulder which doesn't have any level requirement) its the same with charms, amulets and jewels, you just need to figure out the white binary code for the type of item you want to have. to figure out the white binary code for an item you want to make a hacked version of, simply find it in the game and view it with udieMXL, write it down, then type it in for a copy of the hacked ring(s) as shown in the example with the light plate, have fun....all these codes should have the same amount of numbers and fit perfectly test and mess around with other stuff!! make sure you only edit one item at a time, test to see if what you do works, and make back-ups!! As far as quality codes, you are less likely to get errors when editing unique items because it's just the way UdieToomxl is... Quality codes (you don't really need to worry about changing from unique too much): Unique: 1110 Light yellow items (Rare): 0110 Magic items (Blue/violet): 0010 Plain superior: 1100 Dark green items (not set but the other type): 1001 dont use set items, they dont work very well but i guess with a lot of testing they could: 1010 more binary codes: white charm: 00011110110011000001111000000100 red charm: 00011110100011000001111000000100 gold charm: 10000110010111101000010000000100 eye: 10000110101011001010110000000100 dagger: 10001100001011000100110000000100 spear: 10001100110011001110110000000100 helm: 11010110000011001100110000000100 amulet: 10000110101101101010111000000100 Light plate (sacred): 00000010100011000100110000000100 gloves: 01101100110011001010110000000100 tail: 10000110010001101000010000000100 if you cant figure this out you can always get items from my clones on shadow diablo. These are Median XL characters. They work right now, the latest patch is 1.A9 as of 8/30/09. They will probably work with a lot of patches for median xl in the future. They contain edited items, and can kill any uber location instantly in Destruction. Instructions: When you click the link you will be taken to the shadowdiablo webpage. Then scroll down and you will see the characters in a list format. Click the Median XL characters' names which looks like a link (all the characters if you like) Then click the link that says Download all clones and you will get all the clones you selected.
