You might be too old to go trick-or-treating, but that doesn't mean Halloween needs to be abandoned altogether. All across the globe, MMO fans get together to celebrate the ghastly holiday together in their favorite virtual worlds, and developers often greet them with fun, featured content. When DC Universe Online was first revealed years ago, some wondered if the superhero MMO set in the mythic continuity of DC Comics was too ambitious. But developers Sony Online Entertainment got off to a great start with DCUO by involving writers and artists that were instrumental in crafting the DCU into what it is today. December wasn't exactly rife with game releases. Sure, WoW: Cataclysm made a splash, but most big holiday games came out in November to give Christmas shoppers plenty of time to pick up preferred bundles of digital joy. We all know that many publishers get cold feet during the fall as they see the big boys come stomping in to lay claim to the coveted shopping season, which means a lot of premium titles start to trickle in as soon as the new year has passed. And so we get to January, which is looking up for those who've already blown through those Christmas games and are hungry for more...
