From Playfuls.com: "Yeah, we all know how truly amazing Crytek's engine is and how tormenting it becomes even for Quad Cores and 8800 Ultras, but just wait till you see what huge maps this baby can render!"

The folks at Crytek set themselves a challenge to create a PC within a budget of $900 USD that would be able to play Crysis on the highest settings. And according to them, they managed to succeed. Their system consisted of a Core2Duo, 8800GT 512MB, NVIDIA nForce 650i Socket 775 MB, 2GB ram 240 pin DDR 2 800 and other necessary components such as a 250GB 7200 RPM. They conclude that their experiment shows Crysis provides unparalleled performance on high settings on an easily affordable machine.
Kotaku reports that Crysis' 1.1 firmware patch was touted to improve framerates across the board, but after TechSpot ran the benchmarks, they've found the update to be a pretty large disappointment...except in the highest end. You know what we're talking about, that 1920x1200 setting that was melting computers and stuff. ATI Crossfire setups saw their framerates nearly double in this range-an amazing feat, until you realize...even after such improvements, not one tested setup is breaking the 30fps playable threshold.
One inCrysis forum user found something really interesting in Crysis' resources. In Demo, open Data/Gamedata.pak with Rar. Then open folder Libs/GameTokens. You'll find the following files that could prove that Act 3 was completely removed from the game.

The first patch for Crysis is now available, updating the game to v1.1 and featuring bug fixes and gameplay and performance tweaks.
TheGameReviews.com decided to call EA today and ask if Crysis was going to come to the 360? Our contact in Licensed Games PR for EA said "There are currently no plans for an Xbox 360 version of Crysis."
Getting bored of the maps that came with the game? No problem, just download these.
