CEO and President of game developer Crytek said Crysis cost 15 million Euros (22 million USD) to develop during a panel about the future of gaming graphics at the Games Convention Developers Conference in Leipzig, Germany.
Speaking at Games Convention Developers Conference 2008 in Leipzig, Germany, Crytek CEO and President Cevat Yerli said the studio's next engine should be ready for sometime in 2012.

When NVIDIA's new GeForce GTX 280 hits e-tailers next week, gamers who are running 30 inch displays with a 2560x1600 resolution, will finally be able to play Crysis with a solid framerate. In order to do so it will require 2 GeForce GTX 280 video cards running in SLI.
Crytek recently revealed that it wouldn't be working on anymore patches for Crysis, which lead many to believe that support for the Crysis community would be coming to a close. In order to perk the community up, Crytek has issued the following statement...

Some people loved it, others found it pedestrian, but it's always good to see this sort of big-name first-person shooter stay true to its PC roots.
