Crysis 2

The PC version will kill your computer, but then it's better looking than the console versions, which happen have possibly the best-looking console graphics in history. The single-player campaign is pretty good, with some genuinely spectacular set pieces, while the multiplayer is flat-out fantastic, providing a fresh experience that lets you blend playstyles at will.

Crysis 2 hands-on multiplayer preview
Concessions for console: dumbed-down, or streamlined?
Jan 25, 2011
The original Crysis is of course best known for bringing PCs to their circuit-laced knees with its unheard-of graphical possibilities. It’s possibly still the best-looking game ever made, and it came out over three years ago. So when one considers that the PC-only franchise is coming to consoles as well, it’s not easy to figure out how. The reality is that Crysis 2 doesn’t look as good as the original… at least on consoles. Yet clearly the new engine is a bit of technical wizardry because it still looks really, really good. It will be interesting to see how it looks on a top-of-the-line PC, but console owners don’t have to worry about some cruddy-looking port... » Read Full Crysis 2 preview
Crysis 2 multiplayer preview: Nanosuit or Nonosuit?
It's definitely one of those. So let us tell you which
Nov 04, 2010
Crysis 2 is shaping up well. The CryEngine 3 is up and running on consoles, and looking unbelievable. The location shift to New York is already promising a more focused, more immediate spin on the original game’s freeform tactical combat. The storytelling seems epic and affecting; very much in the Half-Life 2 mould. But what about multiplayer? Do super-soldier power-suits mean smile-inducing online good-times? Or just a great big messy clusterfook? It's definitely one of them. I have played it, so I know which. And if you would like to, click on and I shall bestow upon you that knowledge. » Read Full Crysis 2 preview

Crysis 2 looks ridiculously good. Of course it does, but seeing it in action, under our control, brings the details to life in a way the screenshots cannot. We played a 360 build running on a PC, so although we played with a gamepad on a TV, we doubt the resolution and slick framerate we saw could possibly translate completely to the final 360 version... » Read Full Crysis 2 preview

Crysis 2 – first look
The nano-suit power-leaps into New York, and onto consoles
Mar 01, 2010
Forget Far Cry 2. The real sequel to Crytek’s tropical PC-only shooter was Crysis, a game so powerful it could only run on a nuclear-powered PC the size of a semi truck. Until now. For the past twelve months, Crytek have, through a series of tech demos, been floating the very real possibility of a Crysis sequel running on consoles as well as PC. CryEngine 3 videos seemed to point towards modifications – but not many. » Read Full Crysis 2 preview
