Command & Conquer 3 developer EA Los Angeles has admitted that it has had a chronic issue [with product support] for more than four years, and is forming a dedicated support team to try and address the issue. Stemming from I am not as proud of our record in supporting our games after launch. In fact, I'm downright unhappy with that aspect of our business, EALA general manager Mike Verdu wrote on the official C&C site. The admission stemmed from a long-delayed patch for the PC edition of the C&C3 expansion pack Kane's Wrath. Verdu noted that EALA tends to release a limited number of patches for our products and in many cases those patches take longer than they should, attributing the issues to 'tension between developing new products and supporting our older products.'

Gamedaily reports: Yesterday Gamedaily provided you with the top 10 PC games for 2007, according to NPD data. Today, however, The NPD Group informed Gamedaily that they actually made an error with their chart. Below you will find the amended Top 10 PC games. So what's changed? The Sims 2 has jumped up to third place with many more units sold, while Call of Duty 4 drops from fourth to fifth. Also, The Sims 2 Bon Voyage Expansion Pack drops to tenth while the The Sims 2 Pets Expansion Pack is no longer in the top 10. Age of Empires III moves up from ninth to seventh and MS Flight Simulator X now makes an appearance in ninth. The problem appears to have stemmed from the exclusion of Deluxe and Gold versions on certain titles ¿ you'll notice several more asterisks now. Top 10 PC Games of 2007 (Corrected) 1. World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade*¿ Vivendi(Blizzard) ¿ 2.25 million 2. World of Warcraft* ¿ Vivendi (Blizzard) ¿ 914K 3. The Sims 2* ¿ Electronic Arts ¿ 534K 4.
13 games from veteran RTS series Command & Conquer are being squeezed into a new PC compilation pack. Command & Conquer Saga, as the pack is called, includes the recently released C&C 3: Tiberium Wars and indeed more GDI and Nod warfare than you can shake Kane's goatee at. To date, Saga's only been confirmed for North America where it'll release this month at $49.99. We're are waiting on EA for word on any European release plans.

EA has spilled first details on the first expansion pack for Command & Conquer 3 in episode one of its Battlecast Prime Time show focussing on the RTS. The expansion's called Kane's Wrath and is due out in 2008 and will release simultaneously on PC and Xbox 360. Producer Jim Vessella had this to say: And if it is new units and faction content you desire, we're not going to disappoint. We'll have new units, upgrades, powers and structures for each of the core factions and each faction will also have two sub-factions. These sub-factions will also come with their own modified units, unique powers and upgrades and each one will cater to a specific play style allowing players to really find the side that's best for them. Vessella added that Kane's Wrath will feature 24 new multiplayer maps, and that the Xbox 360 version will also sport the Radio Interface, which allows players to manage their base from anywhere on the map.

Command & Conquer 3 isn't exactly what most people would call great literature. Nevertheless, as one of Electronic Arts's more narrative-driven franchises, the story is something fans take note of. 1UP knows as well as anyone fans can get a bit hardcore with their nitpicking. Command & Conquer 3 executive producer Mike Verdu took a timeout to address the concerns.
