New Civilization content planned for next year - but what could it be?

Is Civilization V going to release in 2008? Or a new expansion for Civ IV?

Well, we're slapping on detective hats to discover answers to those questions following word from Take-Two in a financial report that its subsidiary 2K Games "will have new content based on its Civilization franchise," out next year.

2K's UK arm was unfortunately unavailable for comment at the time of writing but we're hammering its phone number to get further details.

We've also fired an email off to Firaxis. We'll let you know if we uncover anything juicy.
