Champions Onlines Executive Producer Rob Overmeyer published today a new state of the game letter, teasing the content of the upcoming Comic Series 2, scheduled for release this early November.
Starting tomorrow, September the 1st (from 10 AM PDT), heroes and villains alike will celebrate the Champions Online's second anniversary. Rockstar heroine Sapphire will take the stage and DJ Madbot will spin and scratch to his heart content.

That's why the development team behind Champions Online gave us hideouts for our heroes, and why the system is being expanded by another step. The phase three hideouts are now available, representing another evolution in the options available to heroes with the Basement and Moon hideout tracks. This newest upgrade unlocks the Hi-Tech Basement and the 60's Retro Moon lairs for heroes to customize and enjoy.
Massively: One of the main reasons I decided to cover the Inferno archetype a couple weeks ago was because I felt I should showcase the importance of a self-heal for all characters. In Champions Online, freeform characters can select any powers they want, and the most important powers to choose are heals. Why?
Massively: I grew up drawing. I was known as the artist kid in all of my classes, and the other students would often sit around me and just watch me draw. I have to admit that it was a nice feeling, but a lot of the time I would be drawing such emotional things that it was a little embarrassing as well. As I battled my way through puberty, I discovered that my love for comics had transferred to a love of making my own comics. The main characters were often based on me and people I know, filtered through a superhero lens.
Player housing has always been a big deal in MMORPGs, thats why it always generates a sizable amount of buzz when it gets implemented in a game that was previously lacking in that department. Today is the turn of Champions Online to let its players find a place to call home, with the implementation of Hideouts.
The upcoming weekend will be a hot one for Champions Online players. Logging in between Friday, June 17 and Monday, June 20 will grant three cash shop items for free: Triumphant Recovery, Heroic Comeback and Team XP. In addition to the freebies during the whole weekend the Demonflame adventure pack will be enjoyable by everyone for free.
