So, more than three weeks after Nvidia openly criticised the Call of Juarez DirectX 10 benchmark, a title that was a member of The Way Its Meant To Be Played marketing programme, IT-Networks got an official answer from Techland addressing the Nvidian outburst.
This first-person shooter's unannounced surprise brilliance is actually a very Wild West thing. Picture the scene: the PC saloon at midday. Prey on the honky-tonk piano. Quake IV downing whiskey at the bar. Someone walks in. The place freezes: a stranger. Everyone considers him. "Hey," sneers Gun, "your wolves look mighty funny." The stranger turns... and blows the GTA-with-cowboys game away. "Who the hell's that?" someone whispers. It's Call of Juarez. It's the best ...
Call of Juarez, a first-person shooter set in the Old West, reloaded our screenshot cache today with five powerful new images. Juarez looks better than ever, possessing an authentic feel inside of a photo-realistic (but dusty) world. Impressive lighting, dramatic depth-of-field focus and authentic weapons highlight your trip back in time.

While the wooded and spacious outdoor environs look as detailed and hand-polished as you might find in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, the western Juarez ...
Swaggering into town is Call of Juarez, a Wild West gunslinger for the PC that looks like a fine vacation away from the usual rocket launchers and laser cannons.
