Treyarch ditches the number subtitle and expectedly returns to WWII and the Pacific theatre of war. World at War has extremely brutal gunplay and amazing online multiplayer and co-op modes, but don't expect much new and improved beyond CoD4.

hm... should i get this or gears of war 2 i still don't know and YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!i am the first one to comment this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CoD modern warfare is WAY better in my opinion. i dont get why they had to go back to WW2. running out of wars i guess. anyways this game isnt what i expected it to be. gotta go back to playin CoD modern warfare. oh well.
How about a guide to how to get the sodding thing to run? Installed OK, applied the patch, double click on the icon, select single player and - nothing! Select multiplayer and - error "an unhandled exception..." Think I'll just sling it back and return to Brothers in Arms - Hell's Highway. Or Cod - Modern Warfare (for the umpteenth time, but what the hell - it's great!). As for my rig, well it's not cutting edge but I'm playing Crysis, CoD - MW and BiA- HH at 14440x900 all settings maxed out no prob. CoD - WaW? No chance...
Will the shooter maintain online dominance for another year? Sure as hell looks that way...

Seriously, no offense to Call of Duty: World at War’s single player. Toiling through the Pacific and Eastern European theater, communicating with Keifer Sutherland and Gary Oldman, face melting flamethrowers that spits face-melting liquid death? We’re not complaining. With Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Infinity Ward took its signature franchise into the 21st century. But we haven’t played our last WWII CoD game yet. Treyarch Studios, Activision’s B-team and developer of the console-only Call of Duty 3, is entrenched in the 1940s and hard at work on Call of Duty: World at War, which will come to the PC this year.

Emerging from a pile of leaves gun-in-hand, we launch into one of the bloodiest war games to date

Like Star Trek films we’ve come to expect the Call of Duty games to run one good, one bad. However, now that developer Treyarch sat us down in front of the game, we’ve removed our cynicism goggles to look upon the series with fresh, blood-spattered eyes.

We predict the future of CoD: World at War based on facts and a demo
Jun 23, 2008
As you probably already know, Call of Duty: World at War is due out this fall for 360, PS3, PC and Wii. Activision has turned to good ol’ reliable Treyarch to develop World at War, while series creators Infinity Ward are hard at work on the next ordinal chapter, Call of Duty 5, for sometime in the distant future. More Duty should be a good thing, right? But fans are worried that with Treyarch helming the Pacific-themed WWII shooter,
