Aussies have long felt the stick of inflated prices for imported games but no longer. Origin have finally offered Down Under some video game discounts launching 6 deals in it's Franchise Collection Sale.

The PSN update is mostly about fast cars and deep discounts this week. Burnout Paradise is a mere $8 now, with many of its DLC packs slashed to $2. Not to be outdone, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit packs have also been reduced by almost half. Meanwhile, some Capcom PSP games, including Power Stone Collection and Ultimate Ghosts N' Goblins, are a scant $5. Race on past the break for this week's update details.

Now that Criterion Games has finished producing downloadable content for Burnout Paradise, they're going to start lowering the price. They intend to sell bundles of the DLC on the cheap.

Bizarre Creations' executive producer Ben Ward believes that, while Burnout Paradise's policy of extensive DLC updates is daring, it remains financially unproven. Speaking to develop in an interview published today, Ward explained that Blur will be getting DLC updates, but Bizarre is not looking to replicate Criterion's DLC policy. I think it's a very brave thing the Burnout team did, said Ward, but I think it's still unproven. I'm not their accountant so I don't know how much money they've made, he added.

Criterion Games reveals their next premium DLC for Burnout Paradise, Big Surf Island. The DLC will include 8 new unlockable cars, a whole new area and new jumps.
