The system requirements of the PC versions of Bad company 2 and Battlefield 1943 have been revealed. Both games are based on the current version of the Frostbite Engine. The minimal specs list a Core 2 Duo with at least 2 GHz and Geforce 7800 GT or Ati X1900. Recommended are a quad-core CPU and a Geforce GTX 260.

DICE have today announced a Limited Edition release of Battlefield: Bad Company.

The Limited Edition game features six special gameplay unlocks that'll "give players a tactical advantage on the battlefield." The Limited Edition version of the game will be sold at the same price as the standard version of the game with participating retailers in North America on March 2nd 2010 and in Europe on March 5th 2010.

While we'll have to wait a year or two for Battlefield 3, Bad Company 2 is adding some BF2 magic via the Medic class. BFBC2 is getting the full medic kit from Battlefield 2 AND regen health. The second is likely to be controversial but DICE has nerfed regen and kept it at the bare minimum.

Eurogamer: "Working for Electronic Arts since John Riccitiello returned "feels good", according to DICE creative director Lars Gustavsson, and the chief executive's focus on quality over quantity is "definitely the right direction".

"On a daily basis you can definitely feel the sheer interest in making good new IPs, good games, quality; that DICE is recognised for being DICE the studio and not just part of a big company," Gustavsson told Eurogamer for today's Battlefield: Bad Company 2 preview.

"I think that the EA you see today - and I hear that from basically everyone on the outside - is a different EA, and yes, change doesn't come overnight, but I think we're starting to see the fruit of this process. [Look at] Dead Space and everything. It's definitely the right direction and I'm happy to see that people recognise it."
