At a time when people are seeing the sun rise on so many new and interesting massively multiplayer games, it's sad to report there will be one less out there soon. NCSoft has announced that they will be closing down Auto Assault as of September 1st of this year. The official announcement was terse, saying that players would be compensated and the service will be going offline at midnight on August 31st.
A free update for Auto Assault has today been released in Europe and North America. Both new and current players will benefit from the update with new missions, loot, enhanced tournament play and system-level changes.
