Playlogic Entertainment, Inc. - an independent worldwide publisher of entertainment software - has won the legal proceedings in copyrights to the game Ancient Wars: Sparta. So has decided the District Court of Amsterdam in the case of Playlogic Entertainment against WorldForge / Visionvale Ltd. from Cyprus and Burut Co. from Russia. The provisional judge of the District Court of Amsterdam concludes that all the copyrights to the game Ancient Wars: Sparta always belonged to Playlogic pursuant to the agreement with WorldForge / Visionvale and Burut. The judge ruled in Playlogic's favour on all counts.
Now that we've had a little peep at the Persian faction in forthcoming PC RTS Ancient Wars: Sparta, it's time to turn attention to the Egyptians. The Bangles once wrote a song about Egyptians, but they're probably not starring in this game.
Anyway, the Egyptian faction gets a number of unique units and structures to help turn the tide of battle in its favor. The Obelisk, for example, slows down enemy troops, while the Horus Priest can blind enemies or burn them with holy fire, and war engine
The latest media blast from forthcoming PC RTS Ancient Wars: Sparta finds the game's Persian faction peering out from beneath the rug. Ahem.
Blessed with gifted ship builders (they are the only faction able to construct a ship right at the shore, without the need of a dock or a harbour, apparently), the Persians also get cool battle elephants, massive ballistas for defense and employ battering rams to knock down walls and stuff.

Eidos has released a playable demo for Ancient Wars: Sparta, allowing you to try out this upcoming historical real-time strategy game.
Can't help but feel an overwhelming, manly urge to look at pictures of armor-clad, skirt-wearing men running around thrusting spears through each other? We just received ten new screens of Ancient Wars: Sparta, and it looks like the game will be featuring plenty of just that.
To be fair, there will be three sets of warriors to choose from: the Romans, Egyptians and Persians. Including three factions will mean a large selection of things to thrust through each other - not just spears.
