How Carnby actually finds light remains up to the player - it could be your flashlight (but remember to pack batteries!) or a glow stick; it could be a car’s headlights; it might simply be a makeshift torch you’ve whipped up after waving a table leg wrapped in cloth through some fire. Remember: the dark is your enemy - most enemies take advantage of it, and some reside exclusively in the twilight and can’t be defeated without some kind of light-based attack.
Since Central Park is such a sprawling environment, Eden decided gamers would soon get tired of trudging between locations. Unsurprisingly, given their Test Drive Unlimited experience, cars will play a prominent role in AITD - though some other vehicles (we’re betting on boats and motorbikes) will also be lying around. Vehicles will play an integral part in getting from A to B, solving puzzles - or simply getting the hell out of a sticky situation. Cars will follow ‘real world’ rules that have been implemented throughout the game. Ergo, if it’s locked, smash a window. If there’s no key, hotwire it - but have a good look round first to save yourself the bother. Naturally, ol’ Carnby can get behind the wheel, but you can also ride shotgun while using yours to shoot at foes from the backseat. Oh, and don’t forget to check the glove box - it’s amazing how many New Yorkers keep a firearm in their cars...
