Gaming Union writes "During a demo of Aliens vs Predator (AvP) today at GamesCom, some more information was revealed about the single player campaigns, specifically their length.

In AvP, there are essentially three campaigns: Marine, Alien, Predator. Each campaign is said to shed light on to an overall story arc, so playing them all is effectively necessary to understand all of the plot. Each campaign doesn't seem like it will be overly long though, as all three campaigns seem just longer than a normal game combined."

Love Predator? Love spines getting ripped out of cocky, armed humans? SEGA has revealed developer Rebellion has been working on it, "it's fantastic".

Rob Bartholomew, SEGA's EU brand manager, has gleefully talked up the game's "trophy kills", where a Predator "caresses the spinal cord and purrs." It's something "everyone recognises".

Some first details taken from Gamefront:

- The game has three classes, namely the Aliens, Predators and Marines, each class has its own distinctive features and options.

- A rock-paper-scissors' principle will be applied for the multiplayer to the system in balance, and the singleplayer addition each class its own campaign.

- The story takes place thirty years after the original Aliens, and is a new planet where a population wants to colonize. In their search for minerals they face ancient ruins there and all hell breaks loose.

- There are many ideas implemented previously, with the older hardware, not possible.

- Aliens vs. Predator should appear in 2010.
