Gamer Limit writes: "Well, Aion is technically here, and it's not looking good so far. The official forums are flooded with complaints over insanely large queues for an event that was supposed to allow people that pre-ordered the game to play two days early with a pre-registered character.
While this is fairly typical of MMOs (and this isn't even technically a true launch), it seems like NCSoft wasn't able to meet the initial demand despite pre-order and pre-registration statistics. Whether this problem will carry over to launch day come this Tuesday is yet to be seen."

NCsoft has announced that its upcoming MMORPG, Aion, has received almost 400,000 pre-orders, wiping the floor with competing MMOs.
The game, which has already won several awards including Gamescom 2009's "Best Online Game", goes on sale next week. Players who have pre-ordered Aion get to pre-select their servers tomorrow, and have access to the servers from Sunday through the Headstart period.

"The week ending on September 12th was huge when it came to gaming media and news… more-so media than news, though. We have a fairly big offering of Media Blowouts this week, ranging from Left 4 Dead 2, Shank, the time-traveling FPS Darkest of Days and Forza Motorsport 3. Speaking of Forza new demo info was released now that the game has gone gold and that only spells good news for racing fans. Did I also happen to mention we have an exclusive interview with the Aion design team? Yeah well that's in here, too. Probably the most shocking news of the week, however, came in the form of RedSpot announcing that they have a new Dreamcast game on the way. You'll have to see the game to believe it. NCsoft has announced the dates of the open beta test for its upcoming MMO, Aion.
Players can test out Elyos and Asmodian characters from the 6 to 13 September. Players on the pre-select and Headstart programs get access to the live servers shortly afterwards, before regular players.

"Turns out Dragon Age: Origins is suffering from the Section 8 complex insofar that PS3 gamers will be left in the gutter. News about the Halo movie have surfaced, or more-so why the movie itself won't be surfacing. NCsoft has confirmed the sixth closed beta test will begin this Friday, revealing story events that will take place in the 1.5 update.
The events will showcase the transition the world of Atreia and the players will experience from the current build to 1.5. The level cap also remains at level 30 this time.

The next test sessions for the highly anticipated MMO, Aion, will include the first batch of English voices to be used in cut-scenes as well as NPC speech and quests.
New race prologues will also appear when players make a character, describing the background for the Elyos and Asmodians. Tutorial videos and now available too, through the in-game help menu.

With Closed Beta Test 3 for NCsoft's Aion finishing earlier today, they're keen to keep interest until the next phase of the beta. With this in mind, they have released some shiny new images of the Warrior subclasses; the Gladiator and the Templar. Just to recap, you play a Warrior until level 9 and, upon ascending, you must choose which class to specialise in. Do you want to just kick some arse? Go Gladiator. If you're after more of a hybrid with the ability to keep yourself and your mates alive, go Templar.
NCsoft have released three shots of each subclass. Frankly they don't really tell you much about the specific subclasses or their abilities. However that doesn't stop them being great eye candy.

Aion is a Korean RPG which is being published by NCSoft. While the game has already been out for some time in Korea, it's not scheduled for a western release until around September, 2009.
NCSoft have just released the new box art which will feature on western versions of the game and it really shows off the fantasy element that's present within the game.
