Virtual Programming has announced the release of its newest adventure game title, A Vampyre Story. Developed by Autumn Moon Entertainment, the point and click adventure tells the tale of opera singer Mona De Lafitte who struggles with her new life after being turned into a vampire. Players help Mona in her quest to sing at the Paris Opera despite her creature of the night status. Crimson Cow and Autumn Moon have released a patch for A Vampyre Story. This patch can be used for all versions of the game currently available: US, UK, France, Germany and downloaded versions. The suggested installation path is the same as with the game. Selecting a different path will add A Vampyre Story after the selected path. Make sure to correct this, if you renamed the actual game directory. Fixes: Less stuck animations. If problem still occurs, restart game. Removed two bugs (perfume and stadium) that could prevent further playing Support for graphics cards without AA: if the game did not start on your system, select Safe AA during patch installation to set AA to 0. Small bug fixes and tweaks General troubleshooting: Playing the game on systems that are below the minimum requirements, or have a lot of other programs running at the same time, might cause problems within the game. If you encounter anything unusual, make sure to restart the game after quitting any unneeded background tasks. A Vampyre Story can be donwloaded digitally via GamersGate where the 3158MB download will cost you $29.99 or at your local retail store. Today marks the first release of A Vampyre Story in it's first territory. To mark the occassion, an official demo has been released, to allow everyone to get a sneak peek of the game. In the demo, Mona and Froderick are in trouble: They are on the Vlad's Landing Graveyard and Picknick Grounds, looking for Mona's grave, in order to retreive some grave dirt that Mona needs to put in her coffin for travelling.

Leading PC digital distribution platform GamersGate announced today that German publisher Crimson Cow has joined the growing list of publishers choosing the portal for their digital distribution. The first titles to be released for download include The Abbey, scheduled for a March release, and eagerly awaited A Vampyre Story, scheduled for a May release.
