Destroy All Humans is a loving-but-edgy, action game spoof of all those cheesy B-movies about giant space brains descending upon 1950s surburbia... played from the point of view of the invader. It's often funny and comes packing a full variety of worthy gameplay ideas, most of which revolve around gleefully wanton destruction. But in the end, the invasion is just a few death rays short of world domination. As the Furon warrior Cryptosporidium 137, you have been sent to Earth to harvest human ...

We've seen Mario and his Mushroom Kingdom pals infiltrate every sport under the sun, from tennis to baseball to golf. Now it's soccer's turn to get a makeover and the result is yet another approachable sports title that flies high when you've got a group of friends going at it. Super Mario Strikers does to soccer what Mario Kart did to racing: make it completely nuts. You choose a captain (Mario, Luigi or one of the other headliners), pick their supporting players and take turns abusing the ...

Generally, when a game looks this good, we get a little suspicious. Theres usually some sort of nasty problem lurking beneath the shiny surface: the games too short, the action gets a little herky-jerky during crucial fights or its just plain no fun. But don't let Kameo's good looks fool you. The game isnt without some minor flaws, but they dont detract from an otherwise excellent action adventure. Kameo includes all the elements we've come to expect from adventure games: an inexperienced ...

When superspy Gabe Logan first stomped onto the PSone scene in 1999's then-amazing Syphon Filter, he became an icon overnight. But seven years and three increasingly tepid sequels later, he's been all but forgotten. Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror yanks him out of obscurity once more, and lucky for Gabe, this handheld shooter is exactly the shot in the arm the series needed. As Dark Mirror opens, Gabe and his partner Lian Xing are dispatched to Alaska, where a terror cell called Red Section has ...

We know what you're thinking: another movie game just means a new high-water mark for the Ocean of Suck. Hold your horses: Ice Age 2 might not be terribly memorable or innovative in the slightest, but its run-and-jump levels will melt the hearts of kiddies, no sweat. Most of the time, players control Scrat, the ever-twitching prehistoric squirrel-rat that always seems to be finding or inadvertently causing trouble. Controlling this wide-eyed bundle of energy is a breeze, because all his moves ...

If you ever need proof that video games are a powerful educational tool, look no further than The Godfather. After a week with this Grand Theft Auto-like gangster simulator, you'll know more about the movie than most film students. You'll know the name of the guy who gets shot in the "leave the gun, take the cannoli" scene. You'll know the order in which Michael Corleone's enemies get whacked during the climactic revenge montage. You'll know this, because you'll have done it all ...

To really enjoy the four-player slapfest that is Four Swords Adventures, you're gonna have to sink some serious cash. It's one of the few titles that trumpets the now-useless Game Boy/GameCube connectivity feature. To get four people going, you'll need that many friends, four Game Boys and four link cables. Should all these requirements be met, get ready for an item-hording, sword-slashing good time that carries all the magic of classic, overhead Zelda. Instead of wandering Hyrule's many ...

"Real Time Conflict," blares the title of Namco's Real Time Conflict: Shogun Empires. From that, you might extrapolate that this is a Real Time Strategy game, like PC classic StarCraft. But there's a reason it's "Real Time Conflict" instead of "Real Time Strategy," and that's because Shogun Empires doesn't actually have any strategy. In fact, it's not only completely devoid of strategy, but also of any compelling gameplay whatsoever. Good thing it's a Real Time Conflict, then. Let's shrug off ...

First off, Majescos movie tie-in ... isn't. This third-person action game doesn't replay events of the Aeon Flux movie. Sure, it lays a gloss of Charlize Theron in slick vinyl over everything, but at heart, it throws back instead to the old MTV cartoon series for its personality, artistic sense, and level designs. True, Aeons skills and abilities are pretty cool. She leaps nimbly around with almost Spider-Man-like agility, wields various gadgets, rolls shiny globes around (it's cooler than it ...
