PS3 Review
Aug 29, 2007 Not only is the title to this classic puzzler a mouthful, its also not entirely true. First off, there's no true hand-to-hand fighting - it's all done with puzzle blocks. Secondly, while much of this old Capcom quarter-muncher has been reworked to look nice and pretty on your expensive high-def television (backgrounds, bricks), for some reason the developers decided not to touch the actual character sprites that visually play out the results of each puzzle battle. They look like ...

DS Review
Being a mech with a brain the size of a planet isnt all its cracked up to be, especially when you keep getting attacked by other robots whose brains seem distinctly smaller. How can you tell? Simple. They cant even manage the rudimentary math that would tell them taking on your 4,000-odd HP with the strength of 215 isnt a very good idea. Not that we were complaining about that once 100 enemy mechs appeared on our DS screen all at once. The manga-y animations for the actual attacks are quite ...

PS3 Review
Hello - is that the sound of barrels being scraped? Yes, PS3's "rubber ducks in a sink" tech demo has been turned into a downloadable game. It's quite endearing at first, mind, as you tilt the Sixaxis to guide your duck and collect baby ducks, before guiding them safely to the plughole. The wind-up shark enemies are cute, but eat your little duckling followers - so shake the pad and capsize them. But the duck-related puns ("Quacked it" and "Billiant," anyone?) soon start to lose their appeal, ...

Wii Review
Wii - Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Super Smash Bros. Brawl There's practically no reason to offer a review of Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It's going to sell millions upon millions of copies regardless of what anyone says. We all know it's phenomenally fun and destined to become Wii's biggest game of all time, so what else should a review even bother to say? Spend 500 words arguing about wave dashing or meteor smashes? Nah, we'll just say "buy this immediately" and let you get back to smashing. ...

GC Review
If there's one thing Nintendo fans (select GamesRadar editors included) can't get enough of, it's more Nintendo. Its reliable stable of characters has been glued into multiple generations of gamers and nothing revels in this quite like the free-for-all, fighting madness of Super Smash Bros. Melee. From beginning to unreachable end this is one giant tribute to Nintendo and its fans. The four-player battles feature the company's biggest stars from Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda and ...

PS3 Review
Sony was obviously pretty proud of Blast Factor, because there's a real danger that every downloadable shooter for PS3 from now on is going to look and play exactly like it. For all its high-def eye candy, Super Stardust is Blast Factor in disguise, though it also owes a debt to ye olde classic Asteriods sequel, Blasteroids. There's nothing wrong with that provided you're not expecting to do much more than keep your trigger-finger held down and give your reflexes a severe workout. Each planet ...

PS3 - Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix - PS3 Network - Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix - PS3 Network

There was a time when Street Fighter II machines lined the halls of dimly lit smoke-filled arcades. It was there that crowds gathered to watch titans clash. Remember the sneaky Guile player? Always crouching and constantly cornering, he was ready to throw up a Flash Kick every time you tried to break free from his never-ending barrage of sweeps and Sonic Booms. ...

Wii Review
The golf in Wii Sports is surprisingly fun, but it's hardly deep or realistic. Along with every other sport represented in the game, it plays more like an appetizer - a fun little sample of what can and should be expected from Wii sports titles in the future. The more you play it, the more you'll wish for a bigger and fuller golf simulator. Super Swing Golf is the answer to that wish. Though certainly not perfect, it manages to fulfill the potential shown in Wii Sports Golf, delivering a ...
