360 Review
Oct 29, 2007 Not a fan of Naruto? Havent seen the anime? It doesnt matter. Whether or not you like the cartoon, the game should be enjoyed for what it is - a fun romp for fans and newcomers alike. We admit that we were skeptical. Criticisms of the early version were actually taken on board and the issues have now been ...

DS Review
Those crazy ninja adventurers are back from their foray into RPGs, and have returned to Street Fighter-esque beat 'em-ups once more. It's one of the very, very few one-on-one fighting games available for the DS, but sadly it's not filling any ...

360 - Naruto: The Broken Bond - Naruto: The Broken Bond

Kiddie game? Think again. Last year’s Naruto: Rise of a Ninja was startlingly strong. Buoyed by the positive response, Ubisoft’s Montreal brigade have gone back to the drawing board and crafted a sequel that builds a little sandcastle on top of the original and decorates it with Christmas lights before plonking a fairy on top. ...

PS2 Review
Ask any retail clerk, grade school fanboy or anime fanatic what's hot right now, and they'll all likely say "Naruto" in varying degrees of adoration and/or disdain. But like it or hate it, the shinobi school madness of the series translates very easily into fighting games, and with Ultimate Ninja, you're getting a worthy Super Smash Bros. copycat bursting with dizzying, cinematic attacks that look better than anything you're watching on Saturday morning. It's not just a one-on-one fight - ...

PS2 Review
When the original Naruto: Ultimate Ninja jump kicked onto the scene, any one with the eensiest interest in fighting games and/or advanced ninja education took notice. Trading cel-shaded licks with your favorite characters proved to be slick, easy to pick up, and surprisingly fun. Ask our own Brett Elston, he believed it. And many of you reading this review will be happy to know that Ultimate Ninja 2s sequel treatment gives those who cared for the first game that much more to ...

PS2 - Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 3 - Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 3 If it ain't broke, don't fix it. That's a familiar life lesson and also the approach that Namco-Bandai has taken with the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja series of fighting games. The first game established the easygoing controls and frantic pace. The second installment greatly expanded the character roster. And now, Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 3, the third game in the series, brings balance to the force. ...

PSP Review
Aug 29, 2007 Youll be forgiven if you feel like youve played this orange-clad ninja beatdown before: its a stripped-down port of the PS2 brawler Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 2, which was itself only slightly tweaked from the first Ultimate Ninja which came out just last year. So yes: if youve played one of these “3D characters in 2D worlds” bash-a-thons – or the Smash Brothers games theyre clearly styled after – you should be right at home. Which is good, because then you ...

PSP - NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja Heroes 2: The Phantom Fortress - Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes 2

Not even publisher Namco seems to be sure as to whether this arcade-style fighting game needs the subtitle "The Phantom Fortress" - it appears on the box art, but not the in-game splash screen, and both ways in the manual. But whatever you call it, Naruto fans will want to pick it up. The problem is that most will already have the original Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes, released less than a year ago. And we're not certain three new ...

PS3 - NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja STORM - Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm

Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm is without a doubt the prettiest Naruto fighting game we’ve yet seen. Thanks to the power of the PS3 (and a required 4GB install – these have to stop), it’s every bit as crisp and colorful as the Naruto anime – and the game moves a lot more smoothly, too. Special attacks are spectacular. ...

PS2 Review
One of the hottest anime shows going right now is Naruto, which has already graced a variety of systems in videogame form - and done really well. While most of the Naruto games we've seen have been fighters, the latest title, Uzumaki Chronicles, takes us on the path of the mission-based action game. In this game, you take control of the lovable orange-jumpsuited ninja Naruto and go on various missions assigned to you. As you complete missions, higher-difficulty assignments open up, offering ...
