Blizzard Entertainment and Wildstorm Comics have announced a comic book limited series titled World of Warcraft: Ashbringer # 1 of 4. The comic book will bring to life the follow up to the Ashbringer storyline depicted in the Caverns of Time: Old Hillsbrad dungeon from the World of Warcraft MMORPG.
A psychiatrist specialising in treating those who worry about spending too time playing videogames has said pornography is more accepted than World of Warcraft.

An Achievement system similar to the one used in Lord of the Rings Online may become part of World of Warcraft, adding achievements for PvP, exploration, questing and more.
The achievement system can be accessed by typing in '/achievement' into the Wrath of the Lich King Alpha test, according to blog Death Knight (check out the screens on his site).

In a strange case of one hand not knowing what the other is doing, Vivendi Games, in its latest financial press release, has stated that "Blizzard Entertainment's second expansion, World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, is scheduled to be released in the second half of 2008." While that's exciting, Blizzard themselves have not made any official announcement about the expansion's release date.
The Burning Crusade, World of Warcraft's first expansion pack, took the loyal heroes of Azeroth who had patiently leveled to 60 through the Dark Portal into a world most of them had never imagined. By the time gamers had reached level 70 and blasted their way through the Black Temple, they had traipsed through some of the wildest sci-fi-inspired scenery yet imagined within Blizzard's fictional world of Azeroth. WoW's European forums are host to some new information about the Naxxramas dungeon to debut in Wrath of the Lich King.
WOW Insider had some hints that this would happen soon and now they have confirmed through anonymous sources that the next expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, is in closed alpha status, and that various players are being invited to check it out, under a strict NDA.
