Naughty Dog looks like it's well on the way to creating a serviceable multiplayer to their blossoming franchise. At the worst, the multiplayer is simply lacking of any characteristics that define the franchise. The multiplayer is text book stuff, and will be adequate enough to please fans of the franchise. There is no doubt, however, that multiplayer, at least at this point, is definitely the desert. The single player campaign will remain the meat and potatoes of this package, and as far as Nick is concerned, that's exactly how it should be.
Interested in playing the beta for yourself? Just post a comment below! Comments must have some sort of meat to them and must be related to the game to be eligible(so no 'first' comments or anything). PS3Center will be giving them out on a first come, first serve basis, so get in while supplies last!

Joystiq: "We've been spending the past few nights teamkilling Plundering, Deathmatching and Co-opping in the Uncharted 2 multiplayer beta, and it's been extremely fun. Right now the game is limited to custom parties of 5, but at launch it will support parties of 10, so you can take two teams of friends head to head in Plunder and Deathmatch, while Co-op supports 2 or 3 players.."» Read More

According to arne from Naughty Dogs Development team, a patch will be released in the upcoming few days for Uncharted 2 Multiplayer Beta and should contain the following features:
Patch Notes
General
* Grenade explosions now apply damage properly
Matchmaking
* Players should no longer get hung up in matchmaking for long periods of time
* Teams in Competitive Playlist will now be balanced according to player rank
Bug Fixes
* Ranks should no longer reset randomly
* Quitting the game will no longer reset the PS3
* Player collision – players should no longer get hung up on each other when moving through the environment
* Player will now be killed if stuck in falling animation for too long
* In Plunder mode, treasures will no longer disappear during matches
