A developer from Naughty Dog has confirmed in a forum post that, trophies will indeed becoming to Uncharted mid next month. He also sheds some light as to why trophies will not be retro-active.
Joystiq's Randy Nelson writes: "Uncharted: Drake's Fortune developer Naughty Dog tells us that a patch to add PlayStation Trophy support to the game will be available by mid-August. Company co-president Evan Wells says that the update has already been submitted for quality assurance testing and could hit sooner.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune didn't debut among the top ten software sales when it released, but six months later it's charting on Amazon's Bestseller's list thanks to being the Deal of the Day. It's not alone, either. The PS3 Blu-Ray remote is also rising the ranks thanks to its limited Lightning Deal status.
