PC - Saga - New Indie MMO Game, SAGA, Now Playable Ripten writes:

Indie developer Silverlode Interactive accosted me outside the press room at GDC to show me their new MMORTS (Massively Multiplayer Online Real-Time Strategy) game, SAGA. The game looks interesting enough, and given the fact that it's essentially free, it very well may be worth your time. I checked out the beta yesterday, and I have to say that I have no idea what I'm doing. There seemed to be plenty of people who did, however, so maybe I just missed something.

Either way, SAGA has just entered open beta for the public, so you can give the game a shot for yourself. Full press release can be viewed at the site, as well as screenshots and a trailer.

Saga is a persistent game and played online in a massively-multiplayer environment. Every building you build, troop you buy, and piece of land you conquer remains with you as long as you play the game. That means every time you fight your friends, you won't have to rebuild your castle from scratch. It also means every time your buildings get damaged or your troops killed, they stay that way unless you repair or resurrect them. Troops gain experience over time, meaning that they move with you from battle to battle, improving their skills and finding exciting new armor and weapons to equip themselves with.

According to her, up until sometime last year, Mass Media was working on ports of Saint's Row and The Outfit, for Wii and PSP, respectively. She states that L.A. Noire is not being funded by Sony, who dropped the title and there is nothing stopping a 360 release.

360 - Saints Row - College kid gets high, assaults police, blames Saints Row Dominic Anderson, a college kid in England, got high with some of his friends and played a little Saints Row. Seems friendly enough, right? Well, his stash must've been tainted because next thing you know, Anderson is slitting his wrists and trying to stab himself in the chest with a 12" kitchen knife.

At about 11pm local time, Anderson stormed out of his apartment and into the streets. His crazed and bloodied antics included trying to rip people out of their cars, and even hopping onto the hoods of moving cars as he attempted to stab those inside the vehicles through the windshields.
