CDV Software Entertainment USA and GameRigs launch Sacred 2: Fallen Angel "Mighty Desktop Wallpaper" contest.
Sacred 2 is coming to home consoles this month and to celebrate, our friends at Rocket XL want to give someone in the Destructoid community an Xbox 360 along with a copy of CDV's RPG sequel and some assorted swag. All you have to do is prove that nothing is sacred by posting an evil-minded reply to the original post.
GrE writes, "CDV Software Entertainment USA and Ascaron Entertainment today announced that Sacred 2: Fallen Angel has gone gold for the PlayStation 3. Sacred 2: Fallen Angel, as you all know by now, is an action-RPG that combines a massive hand crafted game world with a unique storyline and seamless drop-in cooperative play. The game is now set to release in North America on May 12, 2009."
DefaultPrime.com has been emailed from an advertising rep for the new game Sacred 2: Fallen Angel, with some new screenshots of dungeons in both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 games. The game is, as of now, officially set for release on June 5th of this year.
WorthPlaying writes: "Ascaron is putting the finishing touches on the console version of its action/rpg Sacred 2, but it seems the lengthy development process and several delays may have cost the German developer a little bit too much as it has filed for bankruptcy protection on April 14, 2009."
Cary, NC, April 17, 2009 – cdv Software Entertainment USA and Ascaron Entertainment are pleased to announce that the action-RPG, Sacred 2: Fallen Angel, has gone gold for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and will be released on May 12, 2009.
Updates to Sacred 2 have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted.
Updates have been added to the action RPG Sacred 2: Fallen Angel, bringing new quests, items, enemies and plenty of bug fixes to the game.
GrE writes, "The recent release date delay should help make sure that Sacred 2 is up to par, if not better than it's PC counterpart. It's good to see the developers are dedicated to releasing a quality product, even if it means they have to push the launch of their much anticipated RPG back a few months.
