Even though Okami is considered many to be one of the better games on the PS2, the title was considered to be a failure as far as sales go. In spite of the poor sales, Capcom decided to give the title new life on Wii. Most believed that the same situation with sales on the PS2 would happen again on the Wii, but the latest sales figures from Capcom might indicate otherwise...

Recently we heard that Capcom simply didn't have the time to translate Okami into Italian.
GoNintendo.com reports: "Okami was set to release in Europe come June 13th. Too often, we bring the Europeans bad news of game delays. Today, we have nothing but happy news! Okami's release has been bumped up to June 5th, just 15 days away!"
Capcom Europe recently dropped a small hint of more Wii support to be announced in June.

Having been released in the US last month, Okami will be released in Europe for Nintendo's Wii this June 13th.

In order to share the new replacement Okami boxarts with people outside the U.S. (to whom they can't ship the printed copies), Capcom has made the boxarts available as PDF downloads
So Capcom's artists swiped (swiped back?) some IGN-watermarked art and it made it onto the game's cover. Whoops. Oh well, everyone makes mistakes, right Capcom? What's important is not the mistake, but the fact the company are going out of their way to make amends.
