TVGB: "The title of this story seems like a pretty obvious statement to almost any gamer out there, especially those of us with Wii's who want the system to have a more robust online feature set. However, the difference between the community bitching about the matter and a developer actually coming out and saying their not getting enough support is monumental. That latter happened just a few hours ago at EA's Bloggers Day for The Sims franchise."
Kotaku writes: "I was pretty disappointed with MySims for the Nintendo Wii. While it did allow me to create a digital mini-Crecente and guide him through a cute and colorful world, which has long been a dream of mine, I found it lacked a certain something. It just wasn't fun. Could an online component change that? We'll find out this October when EA releases MySims for the PC."
EA Casual Entertainment president Kathy Vrabeck has confirmed to investors that next-gen versions of the publisher's The Sims franchise are to begin production within three years.
MySims was released on Wii and Nintendo DS a couple of weeks ago, and has been doing quite well to boot. In keeping with the games' theme of helping out others, EA have been generous enough to commission a set of accessories inspired by the games with all proceeds going to the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.
