360 - Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe - Ed Boon tried to make Mortal Kombat vs. Street Fighter Ed Boon, creator of the hugely popular Mortal Kombat series, has revealed to VideoGamer.com that he tried to make Mortal Kombat vs. Street Fighter but "ran into a road block".

"We made phone calls," he said. "But Capcom is in Japan, and with the distance, there's communication gaps and what not. It just never panned out. It would have been very cool."

Ed Boon, creator of the Mortal Kombat series, has revealed that he is working with the ESRB to see how violent he can make upcoming beat-em-up Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe.

Some fans of the series have already expressed their disappointment at the lack of a mature rating for the game, and the prospect of no fatalities or gore, trademarks of the Mortal Kombat series.

However, speaking to VideoGamer.com at the game's official unveiling at Las Vegas this week, Boon said that the game may well end up having blood and fatalities, although they will more than likely be described as something else.
