PS3 - I Am Alive - Is 'I Am Alive' About a Mythic Baby Causing Earthquakes? In the recently released trailer for Ubisoft's I Am Alive, a strange clue pops up in the background.

Only The Games write: "Noteworthy is ruaumoko.com shown in the background -- a URL owned by Ubisoft. In Maori mythology Ruaumoko is the son of Rangi and Papa, a part of their creation myth. The only problem is that the kid has never been born, forever stuck in his mother's womb and his movements are said to cause earthquakes.

So you heard it here first: Ubisoft's I Am Alive is about giant unborn babies causing cataclysmic modern day disasters... Probably not, but the reference is interesting nonetheless."

DS - I SPY Fun House - First riddle-filled screens of I SPY Fun House DS The I Spy observation/educational franchise started out in old fashioned wood pulp (book) form, in which kids have to solve riddles and discover items in the illustrations.

Now switched over to DS, the first game is a reworking of the I SPY Fun House tome, in which you have to find nine items in order to unlock the exit and escape.

In an interview with Fumito Ueda at the Nordic Game 08 event, he mentions being at work on a game that combines both the graphics and gameplay seen in his previous games ICO (2001) and its prequel Shadow of the Colossus (2005). PS2 - ICO - Sony caught violating GPL (General Public License) The Inquirer - Nick Farrell, Wednesday, 28 November 2007:

"Open sourcer, Alexander Strange was snuffling around the European release of the game ICO when he noticed new files SRCFILE.TXT and TRFILE.TXT and had a look at them.

In amongst the tangled code were bits of the GPL library libarc for compressed data handling.

Sony, which is a big champion of protecting creative rights, has failed to credit the code's author or mention libarc or the GPL."

The Cartoon Network anime series IGPX: Immortal Grand Prix is coming to PS2s this September, and we've got footage of the mecha-racing game in action.
