Eidos have confirmed that Gauntlet, a modern reworking of the classic fantasy hack and slash arcade game from Midway, will be released on Nintendo DS this October.
Eidos has announced the upcoming release of Gauntlet for the Nintendo DS. Not just a port of the arcade hack-n-slash game, the DS version will include a number of multiplayer, and graphic, enhancements.

Ported from the original coin-op by the guys at Backbone Entertainment, Gauntlet II brings Thyra the Valkyrie, Questor the Elf, Thor the Warrior, and Merlin the Wizard back to action for 100-plus levels of retro goblin bashing. All four players can choose the same character type while stages have been improved with invisible walls and the option to become "it" (being "it" draws enemy characters towards your position).
