Oblivion expansion Shivering Isles is to release as a digital download for PS3.
Kotaku received a few tips from readers today who have been contacted by their local Gamestop drones bringing them bad news-The Elder Scrolls Travels: Oblivion has been canceled for the PSP. Rumors about the game's cancellation have been swirling since... well, since it didn't ship in the Spring of 2007 as previously planned. However, strong rumors indicating that the game was finally kaput were hinted at this summer.
Several news outlets, from Spong to G4 have been reporting that Bethesda has confirmed that the MMO project currently being undertaken by Bethesda Softwork's new development house, ZeniMax Online, is indeed an Elder Scrolls MMO.
While doing a little domain crawling, Voodoo Extreme noticed that ZeniMax Media, the parent company of Bethesda Softworks, recently purchased ElderScrollsOnline.com. Combine this little acquisition with the fact that it recently opened up a online game division headed up by Mythic co-founder Matt Firor.

Today Ubisoft announced it has entered an agreement with Bethesda Softworks to publish The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition (GotY) for PLAYSTATION3 computer entertainment system from Sony this December, reports dutch website PS3only.nl Oblivion GotY will include the original version of the award-winning RPG, Oblivion,along with the official expansion, The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles, and the downloadable content, Knights of the Nine.
Bethesda Softworks, a ZeniMax Media company, announced today that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition (GotY) for the PlayStation 3 has begun shipping to retail stores throughout North America.
There are some new free in game content for oblivion out on Xbox Live Marketplace and the content is called The Fighter's Stronghold and its size is 9.61 MB. It's available in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom and United State and is rated M for Mature.
