For the chance of winning a trip to San Francisco – as well as having your production featured as the official trailer for Dante's Inferno – Electronic Arts are inviting fans to produce a thirty-three second trailer for the game.
Destructoid: "EA started the Dante's Inferno panel by giving us an overview of what The Divine Comedy is. If you're interested in learning more, then check out the Wikipedia entry on it. The game is based on Dante's work so while it's not an exact retelling, it will have elements that people will be able to recognize from The Divine Comedy. Plus, if the game was exactly like The Divine Comedy, then it would just be text adventure game with Dante talking to people the entire time."
PSM3 has revealed further details on the legendary lore and gameplay mechanics that may interest initially apathetic gamers in the title.
PushSquare.com: "Dante Aligheri, the Florentine poet of whom the game is based upon, has been turned into a "muscular six foot knight with magic powers" to suit the tone of the game. Dante is fighting his way through Hell to save his lost love Beatrice, who has been murdered and wrongly sent to the underworld."
In the latest issue of Playstation 3 Magazine, the first details emerge about EA's upcoming action adventure, Dante's Inferno. The magazine reports that the game is a mixture of elements of Dead Space and God of War. If you have played any of these two games, you'll know that they are both phenomenal in their respective genres.
Via CVG: PSM3 has published the first details on Dante's Inferno, which the mag bills as 'God of War meets Dead Space'.
EA have announced that they are working on a game of the epic poem 'Dante's Inferno'. Known as The Divine Comedy and written by Dante Alighieri, Inferno is the first of three books in The Divine Comedy, Inferno, Purgatory and Paradise. Inferno follows Dante, a man lost in a dark woods (which could be construed as exile) on the brink of suicide and tempted by sin while he is on the verge of losing his mind. Rescued by Virgil, they take a journey through the three worlds of the afterlife (like you do) the first being, of course, Hell or 'The Inferno'.
