Now this darling monument to EA Visceral's God of War-style brawler is sitting proudly in the middle of the game's gothic booth at Gen Con 2009. EA an Visceral Games have issued an apology after the uproar caused by their contest at this years Comic-Con known as "Sin to Win".
BeefJack writes: "Many have noted that Dante's Inferno, based on the Divine Comedy, doesn't seem to be very true to the spirit of the literary classic. During a recent panel at Comic-Con, Jonathan Knight, an executive producer at EA, gave a taste of exactly how far the relationship has been pushed."

Sorry PC gamers. Dante's keeping his Inferno to himself. Speaking with Big Download, an EA PR rep shot down any hopes of a PC version of the hotly anticipated game.
ZoKnowsGaming writes "Visceral Games, a studio of Electronic Arts Inc. today announced a collaboration with DC Comics/WildStorm to develop a comic book mini-series based on Dante's Inferno, EA's video game adaptation of part one of "The Divine Comedy." The comic will make its world debut at Comic-Con International in San Diego from July 23 – 26."
