Duke Nukem Forever developer 3D Realms has said it's aiming to release the FPS sequel on PC and console, although nothing's written in stone.
"We plan to have a multi-platform release if possible. We're not nailing down a date yet, but we're excited about the game's progress", 3DR's CEO Scott Miller has told MCV.

Yes folks, incredible as it may seem 3D Realms has given Duke Nukem Forever its first public showing in about six years in a teaser trailer.

It seems the faithful may be about to get their reward. After a decade of delays, the now mythical Duke Nukem Forever is going to get a new trailer today. 3D Realms' FPS sequel has almost become an urban myth of gaming over the years, postponed so long that many have doubted it even still exists, with even more seeing it as one of the best-loved jokes in gaming culture. 3D Realms' George Broussard posted this on the official forum:
"Last Saturday we had our annual company Christmas party. It was a lot of fun as usual but it featured one special surprise. It turns out that several people had been secretly working late nights and into the wee hours of the morning preparing a special video for those at the party. They created a short teaser for Duke Nukem Forever.
After seeing the teaser we thought it was something we should share with all of you and while it's just a teaser, rest assured more is coming.
Tomorrow, Wednesday the 19th, around noon CST, we will release the first teaser trailer from Duke Nukem Forever. To tide you over until then, here is a screen shot taken from the teaser.

Scott Maclean, Duke Nukem Forever level designer at 3D Realms, updated his website with news about how things are going at his job:
"Six months since I updated. Not much has changed - everything is still going well. Things at work continue to make me jazzed to get up in the morning. Our team is just top-notch. I've been enjoying working on the levels I've been assigned, and everybody is responding well to the work I'm doing. In addition, the other designers continue to pump out work that just blows my mind. I'm really looking forward to the day when we can start showing off what we've been doing.
All in all, 2007 has shaped up to be a much more enjoyable year than 2006 was. :)"

3D Realms has dropped hints that it's to reveal a brand new game shortly.
"I can say that we have a big announcement coming in the next four weeks," the developer's newly appointed creative director Raphael Van Lierop told website Gamasutra.
