PS3 - 8 Days - More Media From Canceled PS3 Game 'Eight Days' Surfaces You may recall hearing early last year that Sony ceased development on both The Getaway and Eight Days in order to shift resources to projects closer to completion.

Shortly after some test footage of Eight Days was released by a former Sony London employee and today we've revived even more media.

PS3 - 8 Days - Eight Days' Stars Add Insult to Injury When it was announced that Eight Days was being canceled in favor of Eye Pet, there as a great disturbance in the force felt by hard core gamers all around the world. Many questioned why such a promising title would be canned. Recently some new screenshots have hit the web and is stirring speculation about this title still being in development and reveals an all star Hollywood roster.

PS3 - 8 Days - Is Eight Days Still Alive? On 4th June 2008, Sony cancelled both Eight Days and the ps3 'The Getaway' title. However, Jim Jagger who is (or was) Animation Director on Eight Days has released a demo reel including some examples of his work; and pre production footage of Eight Days features prominently.

Could this be a sign that Eight Days is back in development? Or confirmation that Sony have abandoned the title, leaving Jagger free to do what he wishes with his contributions to the game?

PS3 - 8 Days - Eight Days Looked Insanely Good, So Why Was It Cancelled? SCRAWL: "Eight Days is cancelled. We know that. However, before it's cancellation, we've barley seen any footage on the game, leaving a lot of us wondering what it would have been like. Jim Jagger, 3D animator for the game, has released a demo reel containing footage of Eight Days, and boy did it look good."

PS3 - 8 Days - Lack of online influenced Sony decision to cancel Eight Days DEVELOP: In our exclusive interview with Shuhei Yoshida, the new head of Sony Worldwide Studios has admitted that Sony's increasing move towards online-supported games lead to the cancellation of its London Studios' Eight Days.

Two weeks ago it emerged that two London Studios big-budget PS3 games, The Getaway and Eight Days, had been cancelled.

Yoshida was appointed as Phil Harrison's replacement as head of Sony Worldwide Studios earlier this year.

PS3 - 8 Days - Sony stops work on Eight Days and The Getaway Sony Computer Entertainment has announced that it has cancelled production on two PlayStation 3 titles that were in development at the Sony London Studio - Eight Days and The Getaway.

A statement from the Corporation read as follows: "It has been agreed that production of both Eight Days and The Getaway will cease immediately due to the redistribution of resources and budget.

"This decision was made following an internal review of all games and it was deemed that with the incredibly strong list of exclusive first party titles coming up both this year and in the near future, resource should be reallocated to enhance those projects closer to completion.

We remember seeing the Sony London-developed 8 Days almost two years ago in a (blatantly pretend in-game CGI) trailer at E3 2006. We assumed it died, but reports say it's very much alive and well. A new trailer along with gameplay demos are reported to have been showcased behind closed doors at last week's Game Developers Conference.
