Mullered in a motorcycle crash, young Ishida barters three more hours to make peace with his peeved girlfriend Ryouko - prompted by a mad cacophony of drums and cymbals, natch. E3 has come and gone; leaving behind a shell of its former self, yet still having managed to produce at least a few surprises. Of course, we remember when it was all glitzy displays, deafening music and rampant herds of website editors - an experience altogether more likely to provoke a spree killing in anyone lucky enough to attend. 1) Beautiful katamari Combining cult favorite Katamari Damacy with what looks like Nintendo's entire roster of characters results in not only the coolest and funniest piece of fan art we've seen in a while, but also a crossover game idea we'd eat our grannies to see made into the real thing. Or how about the little Katamari guy in Smash Bros, gathering everyone in his ball of space goo? 2) Mysteries of Zelda Look what you can unlock in Twilight Princess by using cheat codes - two new enemies ...

From the looks of a patent recently filed by Nintendo, the Japanese games giant is currently flirting with the idea of a motion-sensitive, Wii-style handheld. Has Nintendo gone mad? Sure, Wii's pick-up-and-play accessibility has been overwhelming in its appeal. And no doubt, in the jackpot-hunting minds of the number-crunchers at Nintendo HQ, it makes perfect sense to bring this fresh tech to a new "market." But that doesn't make it a good idea. Here are just five reasons why creating a ...

Scope out what we saw. Akihabara Here's the sight that greets you as you walk out of Akiba's train station: French Maids, of course. They were promoting - what else - a French Maid cafe. The more you pay, the nicer the maids are to you. We'd rather subsidize our meals by letting them spit in our ...

We went to E3's Barker Hangar expecting to see some form of the frenetic action E3 has always been known for. Little did we realize that the hangar wasn't even opening its doors until 1 PM - meaning we arrived an hour and a half before it was due to get off the ground. We're forced to reserve our final judgment about how effective the hangar is. All the same, we took a tour, spoke to some of our industry colleagues, and present the rough and ready footage here. Will things pick up? We'll go ...
