360 Feature | Halo 3
Team 'Radar has been blasting (or suffering a blasting) in the public Beta for the last few days now, and opinion has been starkly divided on Halo 3's early appeal. But it's important to remember that this isn't anything like the finished product, and in fact it might not even match up to the build that Bungie has running in its development lab right now. Anyway. Here we've attempted to weigh in with a balanced take on what we love and what we hate about this sneak peek. ...

360 Feature | Halo 3
With the Halo 3 Beta on constant play in the GamesRadar office, we've compiled a list of the questions we've been hearing people ask as they're watching or playing. Some are funny but point out odd things, others are a little more worrying... Why don't the graphics look more next-gen? This is the main one. And we're still confused about the game's visuals. There are some cool physics and ragdoll effects, some pretty(ish) water and higher resolution textures. And... er... anyone? Gears of War ...

Don't get us wrong, it's undeniably fun. We've logged our fair share of hours (including yesterday's 24-hour play session ) and spent several nights ...

360 Feature | Halo 3

Where do you think Gears of War learned the strategic economy of the two gun inventory? Where did GRAW and Call of Duty discover the simplicity of regenerating health? Above all, where did the entire genre realize the importance of online multiplayer? The answer is always... Halo. As the years ...

360 Feature | Halo 3
So Bungie has finally revealed details on when and what the multiplayer beta will consist of. There's no word on the size of the download yet but we'll be able to play three maps - Valhalla, High Ground and Snowbound - in a "wide variety" of gameplay types, says Bungie. The dev also hints that some of the game modes will be familiar while some will be new. One new game type we know about is called Escort.
