PC Gamer Weekender lets you play Darksiders director's next game, Battle Chasers: Nightwar

Fans of '90s comics and classic JRPGs alike have a big new reason to go to the PC Gamer Weekender: THQ Nordic has confirmed that its pre-release playable lineup will include Battle Chasers: Nightwar. If you didn't hear about the game during its 2015 Kickstarter campaign, here's a quick primer: old-school Final Fantasy combat with the art style of Darksiders and a pinch of Diablo-style isometric action.

The Darksiders resemblance is far from a coincidence; Joe Madureira, who created the Battle Chasers comic and is leading work on Nightwar, was also creative director at now-defunct Darksiders studio Vigil Games. If any of that sounds interesting to you, make sure you get into the Weekender to try it yourself.

The event will run from February 18 to 19 at Olympia London, and advance tickets are on sale now. Individual day passes for Saturday and Sunday are available, but if you can clear out enough time you might as well pick up the Weekender+ pass, hang out for the whole show, and enjoy some extra goodies.
