Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler star in first clip from rom-com spoof They Came Together: watch now

The first clip has arrived online for rom-com spoof They Came Together , in which Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler find they have more in common than they first thought.

The film is directed by David Wain, who had the following to say about the inspiration behind his film…

“I teamed up with Michael Showalter to take on a topic that (to our knowledge) has yet to been seen in the movies: ROMANCE — particularly heterosexual romance between two white people.”

“Our next idea was to mix this romance story with humour – so you could almost call this a Romantic-Comedy, so to speak.”

Take a look at the first clip, below…

Looks pretty promising, doesn’t it? Meanwhile, a first poster has also been released, containing some belting quotes from our chums over at Deadline .

Directed by Wain and co-starring Cobie Smulders, Bill Hader and Michael Shannon, They Came Together will premiere at Sundance, with a release expected later this year.
