Paddy Considine working on The Years Of The Locust

Flush from his success at the BAFTAs on Sunday, where he nabbed the Outstanding British Debut gong for Tyrannosaur , Paddy Considine is eyeing up his second feature film as director.

According to Deadline , that film will be The Years Of The Locust , an adaptation of Jon Hotten’s book about the world of professional body building.

Hotten first let slip on his blog that Considine was involved in the project, and now the BAFTA-winner himself has confirmed that he’ll be directing the adaptation.

Set in the 1990s, the book follows Rick Parker, a door-to-door salesman turned boxing promoter, and his loyal but naive fighter Tim Anderson.

Considine also recently confirmed that he’s currently working on a ghost story called The Leaning.

To be honest, we don’t really mind what Considine takes on next. After the brilliance of Tyrannosaur , he could direct a film about talking tea cups and we’d watch it.
