Oz: The Great And Powerful reveals another batch of images

Oz: The Great And Powerful has released another batch of images online (following on from the fresh bunch unveiled earlier this week ).

Playing up the darker side of Sam Raimi’s Wizard Of Oz prequel, the stills show no sign of the gaudy colour palette evidenced on the posters .

James Franco’s title character features in all of the new images, joined by Rachel Weisz’s Evanora, Michelle Williams’ Glinda and Zach Braff’s Finley the monkey.

Joey King’s China Girl even gets a look in.

All that gold looks mighty alluring. It’s almost as if Franco’s Oscar Diggs has stumbled upon Scrooge McDuck’s secret safe.

Oz: The Great And Powerful opens in the UK on 8 March 2013.
