Okami

If games can be art, here's the best possible example

Words: on September 18, 2006
Other than those minor annoyances, there's barely anything about Okami we can complain about. It's one of the few non-Nintendo games that manages to capture the awe and magic of playing a new Zelda, a feat that instantly rockets Okami into the upper tier of PS2 games (plus, unlike Zelda, you can actually jump). You're getting a long quest packed with life-giving missions and a presentation that's unlike anything you've ever played. If you consider yourself a gamer in any way, buy this right now. You will not be disappointed.

@WillisTron: I know, right? What a terrible score to give a game! At least it wasn't so bad it got an 8 like Halo: Reach!

You guys praise this game about 1 out of 3 of all your articles, yet it only got a 9?

When I got this around the time it came out, I could not stop playing it until i beat it.

Why are there so few comments on such a great game? I love this game by the way!

Dang! I've never owned a ps2, but if I did, I would have definitely bought this game. I'm just so angry that the ps3 cant play ps2 games, because I WANT THIS GAME!

I bought it around the time it came out and stopped playing it when I got to the first boss, the combat was terribly boring and constantly having to freeze everything to draw on the screen was too annoying. If you could actually maul your enemies, claw and bite, instead of hitting them with a weird mirror and a string of beads, I would have enjoyed it a whole lot more.

Awesome game. I asked for it for my birthday based on this site's recommendation and absolutely love it.
