If you've been eager to see Sam Taylor-Wood's John Lennon story Nowhere Boy, you'd best try to get a ticket for the closing night of the London Film Festival.
Yes, the film - which stars Aaron Johnson as Lennon, Kristin Scott Thomas and Anne-Marie Duff - charts Lennon's youth and his early days with a certain popular beat combo known as The Beatles.
"We're delighted to be closing our festival with the world premiere of this first feature by Sam Taylor Wood, who brings her customary sensitivity and visual flair to this story of the formative years of one of the UK's cultural icons," says the fest's artistic director Sandra Hebron in a statement.
"Less a biopic and more a love-story, Nowhere Boy is as accomplished as it is moving, and will ensure the festival ends on a high note.”
The Times BFI 53rd London Film Festival will open on 14th October with Wes Anderson's The Fantastic Mr Fox. Full schedule details will be available from Wednesday 9th September.
